Tidioute PA: The Bridge at RemagenBaker Company proudly participated in the renewal of the Tidioute WWII Event: The Bridge at Remagen. Although not an Airborne mission, members of Baker Company portrayed the following Amercian Units that actually seized the Ludendorff Bridge during March of 1945:
Crossing the Rhine RiverPrior to seizing the Bridge, there was a morning tactical above the Town of Remagen (Tidioute) in the morning. The Germans just did not want to give up that Bridge without a fight!

The Town of Tidioute was an excellent host and made all reenactors and visitors feel very welcomed. The Local Amercian Legion along with many churches supported the event with excellent food and refreshments complete with a USO Dance Saturday night. An estimated 2,000+ spectators were on hand to watch, many of them expressing gratitude for the return of the event and a sincere appreciation for our efforts to honor the veterans. A fitting tribute was made to all veterans living and deceased and an excellent stirring rendition of our National Anthem was sung before the formal start of the battle.
