On October 17th we reached our registration capacity of reenactors for the Camp Beaumont WWII Tactical Battle of the Bulge event (in less than two weeks). Right now we are highly encouraging people to go to the registration page, click to register, and get on the waiting list. That way if someone cancels, they will be in line to register. ALSO, we are working with Camp Beaumont to open up a bit more billeting and dining hall space so we will also release registration spots to those on the waiting list as that space becomes available. Please let your people know, when they do get an email stating that a spot has opened up, they only have 24 hours to take advantage of it. Make sure to keep an eye on the junk folder in their email. Let your people know, GET ON THE WAITING LIST!!
With the loss of so many long-standing WWII winter reenactments, we have made the decision for 2020 to convert our Rock Creek, Ohio Camp Beaumont WWII Tactical weekend from a September tactical, to a winter event centered around the Battle of the Bulge. For those of you who have been attending Beaumont over the last three years, you know that it is an excellent facility in both amenities and the areas offered for tactical operations. With indoor billeting and great hot meals served in the main dining hall, it is a perfect location for a winter reenactment. Camp Beaumont is about 30 miles southwest of Conneaut (the location of the annual D-Day reenactment). PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A NON-SPECTATOR EVENT! The date is set for FEBRUARY 6-9, 2020. As of this writing, the event will be open to Allied and German impressions consistent with operations around Bastogne and in the region during December of 1944. This also includes female impressions from medical, communications, and field correspondents to name a few. Civilians and Partisans will be part of the equation too. Plus it is a great location for vehicle operations, both soft skinned and armored. Other activities are in the works including vendors and participation in a Friday program for local schools.
